As you probably already know, I am very sadened by my Kirsten doll who came back from the doll hospital with a horrrible new head. But it just doesn't make sense, because all the new dolls I have seen are beautiful! I just got Kaya and Marisol and they are quaility dolls, and my newer Kirsten is just from last year! I began thinking about other members who had the same problem with their doll's head replacement and they just couldn't get used to it. So, with that, maybe AG has cheeper heads that they use only for replacements! Would they do that? Would it save them time and money? Or would that be a waste by making two different quality heads? What do you guys think?

I think you just got a bad head. I would call AG and complain. Tell them what you told us about how this doll head is not as nice as the older dolls or the newer dolls. Tell them that you want a different one. They should be helpful. Most of the people at AG are vey nice. If you happen to get one of the rare stinkers that won't help, then call again to get someone else.

I really like my newer Mattel dolls, but I know Mattel's quality control is not what it should be. I have had two bad dolls that they replaced without any problems. I also have some dolls with problems that I decided to keep, because I fell in love with them. If you feel bad about the doll you have, then they should help you to change it.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">My Molly has legs that are a bit loose. I fell in love with her, though, after I called AG for a replacement. I had told my niece Molly was coming, and we were all set for a play date. When she came and her legs were loose, I was disappointed and told the CS that I knew a little girl who was going to be so upset (I didn't tell her the WHOLE story...). She said, "Oh, no - let her play with her, give her to her until the new one comes." Little did SHE know...

When I arrived at my mom's, and Penelope saw her, she promptly said that she should get in the AG wheelchair. She had her Josefina push her around; I wish I had gotten pictures!

They sent the second Molly and she was actually worse. I came home that evening and saw my Molly on the table in her box where I'd left her. I fell in love with her, legs and all.

AG was so nice during the whole thing - they even offered to send out a third Molly. But I kept the first one - almost like she was meant to be mine. I would think they would be very helpful with your Kirsten; I'm sorry she's not what you were expecting. I would send her back.
